Make your own stained glass cactus! This stained glass plant stake pattern makes a flat glass plant stem. The digital pattern is ready to download, so you can make a glass succulent plant right away.
ITEM: This listing is for a *digital pattern* and contains two different versions of the pattern - one is numbered, and one is clean, without numbering. This listing is for the instant download cactus stained glass pattern - no other materials are included. And there are lots more succulent and plant patterns here!
LICENSING: This download includes both a hobby and commercial license. Patterns cannot be reproduced, published (other than printing for personal use), or shared. If you do sell your finished work, please give a credit to Noelle Barnes/GlassyRock Arts as the designer.
SIZING: Once completed, this piece measures 7.5” wide and 10” tall (from the base) as printed on 8.5x11” paper – you can scale up or down if needed. The stem will fit into any pot that is larger than 4” in diameter. The based (the flat part at the bottom) is 3.25” wide, with the wires extending down from that base at slightly larger than that width.
MATERIALS: Glass, foiling tape, solder, brass rods (recommended as the stems for inserting into the pot), the materials to solder them all together - flux, a soldering iron, etc. - and a pot with stones, floral foam, or soil as a base. Once finished, just add your plant stem to whichever base you choose, maybe decorate the top with some gravel or glass gems, and voila! A gorgeous plant that never dies.
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate.
DELIVERY: After your purchase (thanks!), this site will present you with a link to download your PDF. You'll receive a confirmation email and an email with download instructions.
This project was a blast. I am fairly new to stained glass so I appreciate that the pattern and instructions were very detailed and easy to follow. It's a great project to use up small pieces of glass you have laying around. I am giving this butterfly as a gift and I couldn't be happier with it. Thanks Noelle!
