This bird stained glass design will create a corner-mounted stained glass toucan for your window. Instructions are included for how to mount the finished piece. This fun stained glass bird requires 12 to 13 pieces of stained glass and is a fun project for a corner of your house that needs some color! The toucan measures 9.5" x 7" and prints out on 8.5x11" letter-sized paper. There are four pattern pages included - details below.
ITEM: This listing is for a *digital pattern download* and contains two versions of the pattern - a clean version and a numbered version, with a right-facing and left-facing version of both, so there are four pages of patterns. This listing is only for the pattern - no other materials are included.
LICENSING: This download includes both a hobby and commercial license. Patterns cannot be reproduced, published (other than printing for personal use), or shared. If you do sell your finished work, please give a credit to Noelle Barnes/GlassyRock Arts as the designer.
SIZING: Once completed, this piece measures 9.5” wide and 7” tall as printed on 8.5x11 paper.
SPECIAL MATERIALS NEEDED: The eye of the toucan is made with paint - blue and black enamel paint. Otherwise, this project requires no special materials; you will need 15 inches of strong lead came for the two mounting sides, such as 3/16" flat U channel came.
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate.
DELIVERY: After your purchase (thanks!), this site will present you with a link to download your PDF. You'll receive a confirmation email and an email with download instructions.
This project was a blast. I am fairly new to stained glass so I appreciate that the pattern and instructions were very detailed and easy to follow. It's a great project to use up small pieces of glass you have laying around. I am giving this butterfly as a gift and I couldn't be happier with it. Thanks Noelle!
